Chapters 1 and 2

After reading the first two chapters of The Watsons Go to Birmingham-1963, I am looking forward to what is going to happen next. I already feel connected to the family. They seem like they really like to have fun with one another. While I was reading, I was thinking about my family and how we would interact in a story like this. I could relate to the cold weather they were facing because living in Maine my whole life has really shown me how cold it can get! Byron already reminds me of someone I grew up with. He tends to get himself into trouble. One thing I didn't like was the fact that Kenny gets picked on. I think it is a good thing for him to have a brother like Byron, but I hope Bryon is able to watch out for him throughout the book so Kenny's feelings don't get hurt. I look forward to read further on to see what happens!
