Chapters 3 and 4

The more I read of The Watsons Go to Birmingham-1963, I get attached to some of the characters. Kenny seems like such a sweet young boy. I really feel bad for the way he is treated at school. His brother Byron seems to keep an eye on him and I know he realizes this, but I still wish people didn't have to be so mean. I am glad that Kenny met Rufus. They seem like they may have a lot in common. He doesn't seem like the other mean kids at school. I found the beginning of chapter 4 funny. I could relate to this feeling because my mom always would dress me very warm so I didn't catch a cold. I think Kenny's mom took it a step further, but I know what it feels like to have so many layers of clothes and it gets to the point where you don't think you can move! It is clear for me to see the difference in personality between Kenny and Byron. They both seem like nice kids, but Byron stands up for himself and Kenny. Kenny would rather walk away from a bad situation then get caught in it. I am just like Kenny. While I am reading I feel like I can relate to Kenny the most.
